Al Qaeda’s Nusra Front Deploys Chemical Weapons in Aleppo, Syria/ Video: The ISIS Has Chemical Weapons/ Exclusive: US Deploys Patriot Missiles to Protect ISIS Resupply/ United States Stops Syria Aid after Discovering Turkey Corruption
The Russian Ministry of Defense (MoD) says the Al-Nusra Front terrorist group has deployed chemical weapons near Syria’s city of Aleppo.
Scores of militants have also arrived from Turkey in the outskirts of the city in order to participate in the clashes there.
“Several trucks carrying self-made ammunition, armed with chlorine-based toxic agents, have arrived from the Idlib province to the northern outskirts of the city of Aleppo controlled by al-Nusra Front terrorists,” the MoD’s daily bulletin reads.
On May 12, the violence escalated in the Aleppo province as the ceasefire expired.
The Syrian Air Force destroyed ISIS targets in the vicinity of the main station at al-Shaer oil field, near al-Muhr oil field and near the Jazal village in the province of Homs. The air raids were aimed to support the government forces that clash with ISIS near the T-4 Military Airport. Recently, ISIS seized the Muhajarah Base in the area.
Clashes are ongoing in the province of Aleppo. On May 12, the pro-government forces renewed attempts to conduct offensive operations in the northern part of the province, advancing on the Nusra-controlled Handarat Refugee Camp. Syrian artillery and warplanes are working against militant targets in the area of the Khan Touman city.
Russian soldier Anton Yerygin died of heavy injuries sustained during an insurgent attack in Syria’s Homs province, a spokesman of the Khmeimim base reported on May 11. Yerygin was escorting monitoring mission vehicles, when the convoy was shelled by terrorists earlier this week
A series of car bombings targeted civilian areas in Baghdad on May 11, killing 88 people and injuring dozens more. The attacks targeted the capital’s Shiite district of Sadr City, the predominantly Shiite district of Kadhimiya and the Sunni district of Jamiya.
Iraqi forces have reportedly found a chemical plant belonging to ISIS in the city of Hit in the province of Anbar. The plant had refining equipment as well as large amounts of chlorine and toxic chemicals. All these were left behind after the militants fled the city last month. According to Director General of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) Ahmet Uzumcu, this confirms ISIS has the technology and access to the materials which might be used for the production of chemical weapons.
DESI: MIT collusion with ISIS continues, and Pentagon to deploy the Patriot and other systems at Turkish-Syrian border
…by Nahed Al Husaini, Damascus VT Bureau Chief
DESI Media Advisor – Exclusive
After a closed-door meeting with ex-Lebanese President Emil Lahoud, European Department for Security and Information (DESI) Secretary General Haissam Bou Said disclosed that Turkish intelligence operatives (MIT) met with ISIS top leaders in “Kellis and Barsous”, located at the Syrian Turkish border.
The intent of instructing them to “fabricate subversive operations inside turkey, so that Erdogan will have the European Union backing to set up a 40 K buffer zone inside the Syrian territories, extending from Jrablus to Mara’a, in the North of Aleppo hinterlands.
The European Union is currently engineering a political settlement with Turkish President Rajab Tyyp Erdogan, stipulating for reducing the number of Syrian refugees in the West in return for endorsing the Turkish buffer zone.
Erdogan joined anti ISIS international coalition as a ploy to Strike at PKK locations in Kurdistan Qandeel Mountain and in South-East Turkey.
Today, an explosion has been heard in the center of Istanbul, beside a military barrack, resulted in the injury of several people. Our sources indicate the attack was planned and executed in coordination with other against civilians inside Syria and Iraq, part of a carefully coordinated terror offensive by Turkey and her allies against a wider number of targets soon to include Egypt, Macedonia, Armenia, Iran, Russia and Serbia.
A highly informed source from inside Turkey informed VT that Erdogan is a member of the Global Freemasonry Lodge which is supplying ISIS with weaponry and order the Group to pound the bordering areas to give Erdogan a pretext to make incursion into Syrian territories with the approval of the Turkish opposition.
“The Global Freemasonry Lodge seeks to ignite wars in the Middle East to keep the region in constant turbulences for the benefit of arms mongers and for the monopoly of gas and oil resources,” the source said.
“Erdogan is making up the excuses now to drag the US and the NATO to a third World War with Russia on the Syrian soil,” the source added. A highly informed Russian Source told VT “the seasoned Americans fear that eccentricity of Erdogan may draw the US into unnecessary conflict with Russia.”
“Erdogan is currently quite capable of conducing desperate acts in Syria to get the Russians or the Syrians to attack the Turks. After all, he still hopes for the NATO involvement in this bloody conflict,” the source added.
DESI says that the Pentagon will install Patriot and other missile Systems at the Turkish-Syrian border that will include the town of Manbej, North of Aleppo for the same purpose. The US will also support the implementation of the new Middle East Map which is compatible with the Israeli scheme and the Pentagon directives, in order to scramble out of the bottle-neck dilemma.
Regarding US-Russian settlement for the Syrian crisis, Bou Said said “President Assad will not bargain on the Syrian sovereignty national constants, and the fatal issues will be determined Kurd by the Syrian people.”
The US-backed Kurdish forces and other belligerent factions in North East Syria already declared a self-autonomy there. US military bases have been set up in Hasaka and Qameshli provinces for logistic reasons.
The Syrian tribes, who are devoid of any military support, cannot confront the Kurds who are armed with US and European support. The Syrian Kurdish state is an extension to Iraqi Kurdistan, which embraces US and Israeli intelligence and military bases.
Israel has always had good relations with Iraqi Kurds, especially with Masoud Al Barazani, who already declared his independence from the central government in Baghdad. However, it is speculated that the Kurds will become the “Trojan Horse” and a bargaining chip between international and regional powers which are struggling now to hammer out a political settlement for the Syrian crisis.
Finally, US-led coalition fighter jets refrained from Striking ISIS deployment lines at Iraqi-Saudi border?? It remains to be seen.
Beyond simple corruption – a sophisticated operation involving many HGOs and charities
On the face of it, this is a simple story of basic corruption and profiteering. However, it may actually be a case of the tip of the iceberg and the various NGOs and other groups involved in this may actually function as fronts for various intelligence agencies and cutting off their funding has been done because the money was actually ending up in the hands of those who are responsible for the Syrian conflict. Cerainly, NGOs are notorious for often being fronts for foreign powers and being used to further hidden agendas and funnel funds to other groups.
The US government has suspended funding several Syria aid agencies after discovering a systematic over payment to Turkish suppliers, a senior American official says.
The US Agency for International Development (USAID)’s independent government auditor made the announcement in a statement, adding the organization had “established grounds resulting in the suspension of 14 entities and individuals involved with aid programs from Turkey.”
In its statement, USAID revealed “a network of commercial vendors, NGO employees, and others who have colluded to engage in bid-rigging and multiple bribery and kickback schemes related to contracts to deliver humanitarian aid in Syria.”
All charges relate to buying goods in Turkey, where suppliers were being systematically overpaid by NGOs, who are accused of failing to monitor their procurement, a process some of their staff were directly involved in.
Turkish private companies are charged with selling low quality goods, such as blankets and other basic materials for Syrians, to the NGOs at inflated prices and pocketing the difference, a senior USAID official said on condition of anonymity.
“What became clear in the course of this investigation was this was a pretty sophisticated operation,” the USAID official added.
According to AFP, charities like the International Medical Corps (IMC) and the Irish charity Goal and the International Rescue Committee (IRC) which is headed by former British foreign minister David Miliband have been affected by the scheme.
The IMC, one of the largest providers of medical aid to Syrians, confirmed that it had fired a number of its personnel after the allegations surfaced.
The NGO says that the 430 clinics under its support have so far treated more than six million Syrians in Syria and its neighboring countries.
Syria has been gripped by foreign-backed militancy since March 2011. UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura estimates that over 400,000 people have been killed in the conflict, which has furthermore displaced over half of Syria’s pre-war population of about 23 million.
According to the UN’s Financial Tracking Service, the US donated $397 million to aid groups working in Syria last year.
The UN has asked for more than $7 billion to fund its Syria aid programs in 2016.
