The United Nations has strongly condemned Daesh Takfiri terrorists’ use of Iraqi civilians as human shields. The UN Security Council released the scathing statement following a closed-door meeting with human rights officials. The Council urged all parties involved in the Mosul operation to take “feasible precautions” in order to avoid harm to the trapped Iraqi civilians in the flashpoint city. It also demanded that all its members contribute to a 284 million dollar aid package for the city. The developments came after the UN received reports that the terrorists were taking civilians out of their homes and lining them up to serve as human shields.
