Mattis: Russia trying to break NATO

U-S President-elect Donald Trump’s pick to lead the Pentagon has criticized Russia’s stance toward NATO, accusing Moscow of trying to break the military alliance. Mattis said the U-S must prepare to confront Russia in areas where the two countries cannot cooperate. He added that Russia, along with China and terrorist groups, is one of the biggest threats against the U-S since World War Two. The retired marine general’s remarks on Russia come as U-S President-elect Donald Trump seems to be looking for warmer relations with Moscow.
