Dozens killed in twin bombings in Damascus

Two powerful bombings have ripped through the Syrian capital Damascus, leaving dozens of civilians dead. At least forty six people have lost their lives in the terrorist attacks which targeted mainly Shia pilgrims in the Damascus Old City. The first explosion took place after a roadside bomb went off, hitting a bus carrying the victims. Shortly after, a bomber blew himself up in the area that houses many Shia mausoleums. Terror bomb attacks are rare in Damascus. Daesh terrorists and foreign-backed militants carry out the bombings
