Over the past few years, many members of the Izadi minority group have been killed, driven from their homes and held captive by the terror group. The US-supported Arab and Kurdish forces continued advancing on the embattled city of Raqqa, Friday, following the seize of strategic areas including Tabqah, Sufsafa Kabeera, Sufsafa Sagheera from self-proclaimed (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL). Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) leader Ayman Alghanem said that SDF forces will further advance towards the city of Mansoura, from which the operation to “invade Raqqa” will begin. “We will siege Mansoura and the dam, as we start to invade Raqqa, and block the roads,” Alghanem said.
